Just Some Movies Pts. 7 of Many (Halloween Version)


Saw III – Rated R – Grossed upwards of 36 million opening weekend, which is 16 million more than it cost to make. It is in the horror genre, but is unlike most hack and slash horror movies and gore fests that have come out these days. It’s all about tricks and teases in these movies, with awful torture devices, people coming to terms with their past, and see how far they will go to save themselves from eternal sleep. The director and screen writer really aren’t that important when it comes to a thriller/horror movie. Went to see it, was actually good, but since the Saw movies are known for there crazy twists in the end that blow your mind I was disappointed with the twist in this movie. It was just too easy, everything played out way to smooth and it didn’t compare at all to Saw II, when I was

Upcoming Horror Films

8 Films to Die For - November 17th (One Weekend Only)
A release of 8 films on one weekend only, The After Dark Horror Fest, never before seen horror films to disturbing to show in theatres, so they are going to release them in theatres. The advertising states that the movies were too awful to show in theatres, but apparently if they release them all together then it’s all right. I don’t really care at all it’s just a problem with their marketing firm. I’m going to go see them anyway, they’re only showing in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, so I’m in luck, yippee.

Hostel 2 - Early Next Spring

Another creation by horror master Eli Roth (Creator of Hostel and Cabin Fever, two more than disgusting movies) that will be released next year. Hostel was a fairly good movie…compared to his other one, Cabin Fever, they are both your standard horror flicks with more gore and more of a story that surprised people. Hostel was more like, part orgy the first half and then pure nightmare the second half, it switches perfectly between the two and is gratifying in the end when there is the revenge sequence, pretty spectacular, I was actually expecting now one to survive the blood fest but the movie proved me wrong. And I guess they decided to make another one, in which the teaser states that Americans are sissy’s because they use guns.
